From the second story of a former factory building in the heart of Three Oaks, guests can see what looks like a downtown district frozen in time.
Ranging from the brick village hall decorated with striped awnings and vintage lettering to the 1950s-style bicycles rented at the Dewey Cannon Trading Company, the village truly reflects the idealized family town.
These values, combined with the village’s dedication to preserving history, were exactly the attributes that drew Journeyman Distillery owners Bill and Johanna Weller to the area — and the success of their business has driven them to expand in a way that allows tourists traveling from all over the world to call Three Oaks home — if only for a little while.
Johanna said she and Bill searched all over Chicago, northern Indiana and southwest Michigan for the best place to build their business, and essentially plant their family.
